I have heard some talks.

I would say money.. Although I am not quite familiar with the DMS.. Microsoft has millions, as well why are they backing them up?

OMFG NO!!! Stay away form any DMS that uses Microsoft Software as a base! Maybe that is just the Mac-Guy in me coming out, but imagine your DMS crashing 12 times a day like every other Windows-based PC in the world!
